Sieanna Pottinger

Sieanna Pottinger serves as the Student & Family Advocate Manager at HM Youth Foundation,. A dedicated social justice advocate and community builder, she leads the S.F.A. team in delivering culturally responsive support that helps Black youth and their families across the Greater Toronto Area overcome systemic barriers and strengthen academic and emotional resilience.

 

With a creative flair and strong organizational skills, Sieanna also oversees outreach, community engagement, and social media strategy—ensuring that the Foundation’s message resonates deeply with the communities we serve.

In her leadership role, Sieanna manages the day-to-day delivery of the S.F.A. Program, guiding its design and implementation from an Afrocentric and anti-oppressive framework. She also empowers new advocates through mentorship and coordinated training, reinforcing equitable practices in all aspects of the program.

 

Sieanna is a visible and trusted representative of HM Youth Foundation across collaborative initiatives. Notably, she contributes to the Peel District School Board’s Black Excellence workshops working alongside other Black-led organizations to foster systemic change and uplift youth perspectives.

Driven by a deep commitment to equity, justice, and youth empowerment, Sieanna ensures that Black children, youth, and families are not just supported, but truly seen, affirmed, and equipped to thrive.
