Josephine M’Msafiri
Motivational Speaker

Josephine M’Msafiri is a storyteller, advocate, and changemaker who speaks from the heart about identity, resilience, and belonging. Born in Africa and raised in the Catholic tradition, Josephine’s early life was deeply shaped by her family’s forced migration under Idi Amin’s brutal regime—a journey that sparked her understanding of what it means to start over and navigate multiple worlds at once.
Growing up in a new country, she often felt different. She loved sports, preferred clothes people said were “for boys,” and knew by age eight that she wasn’t interested in boys at all—but didn’t have the words or support to express who she truly was. Over time, she embraced her identity as a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and learned the power of living unapologetically.
Today, Josephine shares her story with honesty, humor, and compassion—reminding others that it’s okay to take up space, to be different, and to own who you are. She inspires youth, families, and communities to choose inclusion, empathy, and courage—every single day.
